Convergence: Neither Margin Nor Center

Convergence examines the moments of connections between the center and the margin, measuring the spaces of intersections within the individual's identity set in a global culture. Structuring a mechanism that can allow differences to operate in the collective, outside of mutual exclusivity, in the space of intentional alignment. Retracing the position of the Other in post-colonial identity addresses the forces that brought the marginalized to the metropolis, setting the grounds for an encounter between what is deemed oppositional. The lines that identify the Other are becoming blurry, changing the dynamic of the pre-set binary systems, revealing the transcultural interdependence between cultural identities, and de-centralizing the presumed dogmas and ideologies that separate global societies.
